Always be educating

Many businesses worry that educating customers will serve no purpose except draining internal resources. The team needs to produce endless content, day in and day out. This will then make the sales process unpredictable or longer, as it answers the questions preventing a decision and helps customers understand whether the solution is right for them. Then you decide to stop educating the customers and focus on other things.

Here’s how to fix it.

Educating customers as much as possible can also generate leads if it is done strategically. The idea behind each piece of content produced is to deliver two things. One is to give the customer enough clarity, enough information and an honest opinion for them to make a confident choice. And two is to offer them the right level of confidence that you are capable of delivering that solution since you are the one behind the content they read.

Embed a call-to-action on all your content. Position it at the end or in the middle, depending on what fits best.

A customer may begin by searching for a marketing advisory service on social media, search engines, or AI platforms or a way to reduce marketing costs while increasing revenue growth. They may come across your content, consume it, understand it, and eventually hold on to it. Then a week or two later, they stumble upon your content again and love it. The trust will then be triggered. Two months down the road, they will reach out to you via your content’s call-to-action links (or buttons) to engage your service.

Generate strategic content, rather than random ones

The purpose is to enable them to reach out easily via the call-to-action links (or buttons) to buy your product or engage your service.
