Are your leads a liability?

You must be super-happy when seeing a long list of leads coming your way. Of course, this kind of volume looks good on your reporting. But if your sales team is complaining that leads are not qualified at all, then you have an intent problem.

Here's how to fix it.

Stop generalising that Contact Us part. You see, those incoming leads are raw. They are not intent-driven. So, you need to welcome them with a list of questions to qualify those inquiries from raw ones to serious potential customers. This is where you need a properly structured form, an online one, of course. After asking them for their name and contact details, add a few more questions that will let you have enough information for the sales team to follow up. This signals to the website visitors that you value serious inquiries only. The right target market will fill up your form, and the rest will drop off. This is the qualified leads you want. A hundred raw leads are a liability. Ten qualified leads are an asset. Filter at the gate so you can focus on the potential revenue.
