It's all about targeting one customer group at a time

One reason you can’t generate leads from your content is that you are trying too hard to speak to everyone. In the end, no one can relate to what you’re saying. It doesn’t matter if it’s an advertisement, organic content or both, they simply skip you altogether. Nobody likes generic content.

Here's how to fix it.

Before you produce any content, whether it’s a social media post, article, video or whatever, start the journey by picking one specific group of people as your audience. These are the very people you are going to talk to. Once you know whom you are going to talk to, identify one context. After that, identify your ending. Will there be a call-to-action, or not? Then you come up with the narrative of the content. This is how you produce content strategically, with purpose. Once you are done with that content, move on to the next and repeat the process. It’s not that difficult, actually.
