Running A Business? Use These Cool Tactics To Get More Customers

Running a business on your own is exhausting. The work is end-to-end, and feeling the 24 hours a day is never enough. On the customer acquisition front. you spend hours tweaking settings, following algorithm trends, and producing massive content based on the tips you came across on YouTube and social media, only to end up with zero new customers and an empty wallet. It feels like you are forever going to be busy but never actually growing. Worse, trying to figure out cold outreach or running ads on your own usually leads to wasted time and lost money.

Here's how to fix it.

Try these. Focus your attention on real, human connections and key channels.

First, develop a reseller ecosystem. This is not a list of individuals but companies. You can grow your audience fast by letting non-competing businesses resell your services. They already have their existing customers as low-hanging fruit to reach out to.

Second, use the same concept but for individuals. This is called affiliate marketing. Engage the first five (5) individuals who have a decent number of friends or good networks, and offer them an attractive commission scheme for each successful deal.

Third, instead of waiting for algorithms to find you, how about you find people (read: target customers) on your favourite social media and start featuring them. Don’t sell them your product or service, but tell them that you want to feature them and their stories on your website or social media. Something like this.

These are real-world outbound marketing methods, tested to be working successful. Tweaking their dynamics is encouraged to suit your environment.

Build a strong outbound marketing strategy

Without outbound marketing, your inbound will be slow. Low inbound traffic to validate your credibility and authority means fewer leads you’re going to generate.
