Ops BOBI: Partnerships

SUBJECT: Ops BOBI: Partnerships

Guys,

Azleen here. Our Ops BOBI move starts now. We’re going to start it with partnerships. Instead of hunting end-customers directly, we’re taking a different route—a scalable one. Let our competitors do the one-to-one outreach. Not us. We need to work smarter, achieving more by doing less. And faster results, too.

We're going B2B by blending our services directly into the partners’ existing products. When you buy a Samsung Galaxy mobile phone, it comes pre-installed with the Google suite of apps. Something like that. I want us to be like Google. By doing this, our partners’ offer will be complete, valuable and more attractive for a customer to say yes to.

2 partners in Malaysia and 2 in Singapore. This is our initial objective. We shall scale the numbers from there.

Some of you might ask, why partnerships. Simple, they already have the attention of the customers we want to serve. All we need to do is find the right ones. Not all companies are suitable for us. They provide the customer base. And we provide the superior engine. In this case, we can either white-label our services to blend into their existing offerings, or we can retain our brand, just like Samsung-Google partnerships—creating a full-stack solution.

The way I see it, this is going to be our most efficient path to revenue because it lets us harvest the low-hanging fruit within a partner’s established database. I already promised our CEO that I will deliver qualified leads sustainably in 3-4 months.

This is a numbers game. Assuming we have a low conversion rate of 1 per cent, to secure four partners, we must carefully shortlist 200 candidates in each country. So, we'd better start now.

Now, let me share how to do it. Preparation is everything. Do it like the Ocean Eleven style. Plan first, then execute. Since we are going directly to the CEO or COO’s email inbox by name, you need to use LinkedIn wisely. Identify the right individual, in the right company and industry, and track everything in a shared Google Sheet. The cold email content must feel like it’s not a cold pitch.

I will extract one person from the marketing team for this today. Once identified, I want the shortlist of 200 candidates for Malaysia and Singapore on the Google Sheet in 2 weeks' time, by that Friday.

Azleen.

P.S. Thanks for reading. Text now if you require a CMO.
