Take a week off. Come back stronger.

SUBJECT: Take a week off. Come back stronger.

Hey Samantha,

Azleen here. Since 5 months ago, you've been working extremely hard building our partners' ecosystem from scratch. Today, we are enjoying the fruit of it in two major ways. One, the monthly revenue from our partners in Malaysia and Singapore is rapidly increasing and stabilising. Not only that, our pipeline of upsides is 4X compared to last year's. Now that's crazy. And two, we are slowly taking control of our content distribution to our ecosystem of partners and community members by communicating directly with them. While other companies are attempting to outsmart algorithms, we decided to slowly take control of it. Before this, we were heavily relying on algorithms for that. Today, we are gradually shifting our ad budget to establishing better quality content. Again, kudos to you Sam.

I noticed you're a little stressed. It was a bit obvious during our team meeting last Monday. I'm assuming it's due to the recent strings of rejections you're getting from those potential partners we're approaching. FYI, I'm taking note of your updates about those rejections. I may have a solution for it. But before both of us sit down to talk about this and how to counter the situation, I want you to take a week off starting next Monday. Send me the annual leave form, and I will approve it today. This one week off is a special leave just for you, and it won't affect your present annual leave balance. Consider it a gift from the company for the job well done. HR has been informed about this already, don't worry.

Come to my office later before you leave the office. Bring your assistant, Sofia, along. I want her to cover you while you're on leave.

Azleen
