No more stock images and videos. No more AI-based images and videos

FROM: Azleen Abdul Rahim, CMO
SUBJECT: No more stock images and videos. No more AI-based images and videos
People,
Azleen here. I thought everyone had agreed. I guess I was completely wrong. I gave a clear and specific instruction weeks ago that I want us to completely stop using AI-based and stock photos, as well as videos. Yet, here we are, still using them on our social media and articles. As I said before, it’s boring, it’s fake, and it doesn't accurately represent us as a company at all. Not even close. The same images and videos are being used by other people, too. Brand marketing won’t work with this strategy.
All content team members, please come to my office at 4 pm today. I want answers.
After the meeting, I want you to assign a team of two people to walk through our buildings, sit in the cafes, work with the product teams and spend time in every single product division and start populating quality visuals. I want to see some products, the actual faces of the people, and I want to see some office ambience too. Don't just give me a picture or video. I want the soul of the place, the soul of the product, the soul of our company and the soul of our people to be reflected out there.
Every time you take a snapshot, I want you to capture the motion of that moment on video too.
Please do not treat this as a project. It is not. This is an important ongoing task we need to do as we are shifting in how we show up. We are building an authentic, visual library with the soul of who we actually are for the people out there to consume. This is crucial for us to build a purchasing journey for them to be part of and eventually purchase our products and services. I want us to be as good as Volvo Cars when it comes to visuals.
Again, kindly have all the images and video footage stored on our Google Drive shared folder.
Remember, we are undergoing a major marketing transformation right now. So, I want to see the first batch of quality, authentic images and footage in the folder by this Friday. Simply go out there and find the stories that are happening in our hallways, meeting rooms, cafes, working areas and bring them back.
Azleen.
